The Final Countdown...
Saturday 19 November will see the 250 Superkart brigade head to their adopted
home circuit, Zwartkops Raceway, for the final round of the 2011 AVL Africa /
Logisticor 250 Superkart Championship.
After a disastrous outing in East London, Veron Pappas (Graham Singer Racing PVP
Superkart) still needs a podium finish in one of the two heats on the day to
finally clinch the 2011 AVL Africa / Logisticor 250 Superkart Title. He
currently holds a twenty nine point advantage over nearest rival Sean Moore (Logisticor
PVP Superkart).

Moore will be determined to score maximum points...

The third place battle is still very much up for grabs.
Andrew Greenslade (AVL Africa Rotax Superkart) is a solitary point ahead of his
team mate Tyron Davis (AVL Africa PVP Superkart). Both drivers have been very
evenly matched throughout the season and the third place prize could go either
way.

Who will claim third – Greenslade or Davis?
Eerik Horn (OTTR PVP Rotax) is a further twenty four points behind the pair in a
very safe fifth position. He has shown flashes of brilliance throughout the
season and could very well pull an upset on the AVL Africa sponsored pair ahead
of him.
Trevor Green (Rotax Superkart) jumps up to sixth position in the championship
after improved performances throughout the year. Steve Lavender (Anderson
Superkart) drops down a few slots on the points table with mechanical failure in
East London ruining his chances of a top six finish at the end of the season.

Steve Levin (Hotdog PVP Superkart) makes a welcome return to the
championship and is more than capable of claiming a podium position. This
could very well upset the battle for Overall top honours between Pappas
and Moore.
Gary Gribben (PVP Superkart) also makes a return to the series after his last
outing at Kyalami earlier in the year. Vincenzo Cassilo (V-Tek Service Centre
Rotax Superkart) will also return to the fray after not having raced since the
last Zwartkops round in May.
Newcomers Matthew Gregory (PVP Rotax Superkart) and Philip Potgieter (Anderson
Rotax Superkart) will both be making their racing debuts. They will be using the
final race of the year as a warm up event for the full 2012 season.
Lap Record attempt
Both Pappas and Moore will be going all out to break the magical 1 minute
barrier at the Zwartkops circuit. With a current lap record of 1:00.341, the 1
minute barrier is well within reach!
Don’t miss out on what could be a very momentous occasion!

Who can break
the record – Pappas or Moore?
